Construction has officially begun! A NEW expansive outdoor patio is coming in late Spring 2024!
Saz’s Hospitality Group held a groundbreaking ceremony, for their outdoor expansion plans of their exclusive venue, South Second, in the heart of Walker’s Point. Currently a modern and industrial event venue, Saz’s plans to add a new outdoor patio with an outdoor bar and balcony overlooking the space. There will also be an additional reserved parking lot for guests of the venue. The new outdoor addition is scheduled to be completed by late spring of 2024.
“We’re thrilled to finally have shovels in the ground as we’ve envisioned this outdoor space for a considerable time. We’re excited to see the delight in our future guests as this new space will provide new experiences and unforgettable memories in a centrally located space,” partner Casey Sazama-Schneck shares.
South Second originally opened as an open floorplan event venue in 2016. Renderings released in late June of 2023 showcased its new expansive outdoor patio with balcony which can be used year-round as this new space will allow for tenting and heaters. The current 14,290 square feet of vacant land will also include a new reserved parking lot for guests of South Second. Once renovations are complete, the Walker’s Point venue will have an outdoor seated capacity of 225, and 300 for a cocktail reception.
South Second’s venue offers a great experience for wedding ceremonies and receptions, corporate gatherings, cocktail receptions, RNC events, galas, fundraisers, holiday parties, social celebrations and more.

South Second and its new outdoor additions are open for 2024 and 2025 bookings. The Saz’s team is encouraging people to book now while current rental rates remain in effect. South Second will be holding Open Tours on Wednesday, November 8th from 5-7pm, no appointment necessary.
