I do not know how to begin describing how incredible this team was throughout this entire process. Working with the Saz’s team was an experience within itself. The first time we sat down with Katie and the team for the tasting we knew we made the best choice. Not only were they extremely professional but they made the process fun and easy. Needless to say the food was delicious! But even picking out dinnerware was fun. They gave expert opinions but allowed us to create the wedding of our dreams. Can’t go wrong with Saz’s catering.
Saz’s Catering is in a league of its own. From the very first tasting, we knew we were in trouble in the best way, because choosing a wedding menu when everything is incredible feels like an impossible, delicious puzzle. The portions alone deserve a standing ovation. You truly need about four stomachs to do it justice, and even then you’ll still be thinking about the food the next day. One of the things we loved most was how flexible and creative Saz’s is. If there happens to be something you’re dreaming of that’s not on their menu, they’ll make it as long as you share the recipe and somehow, magically, it will be even better than the original. That kind of care and confidence speaks volumes. We also chose family style plating, which was a major win. Not having to track down and return everyone’s dinner plate choice felt like a gift, and it created a warm, engaging dining experience our guests absolutely loved. And the hors d’oeuvres. We still hear about them, especially the crab rangoons, which we chose as one of our three options and which disappeared in record time. Weeks later, we are still getting messages from friends and family raving about how delicious everything was. Saz’s didn’t just feed our guests, they wowed them. If you want food that’s generous, unforgettable, and talked about long after the wedding ends, Saz’s Catering delivers in every possible way.
Wedding during a Pandemic
All went very well at the wedding on Friday! The food and service were both excellent. Working with Katie made planning a wedding during the pandemic much less stressful! Her responsiveness and communication were reassuring to us throughout the planning process. The precautions that Saz’s adopted as a result of Covid ensured confidence that the food service was safe, yet efficient. As the mother of the bride, I appreciated that on the evening of the wedding, Saz’s staff was 100% professional at all times. Oh, and I shouldn’t forget…the food was outstanding, as many of our guests pointed out!
I would definitely recommend Saz’s to others that are looking for a vendor for their event!
I cannot day enough about Saz’s Catering. Specifically, I want to shout out Katie who manages all event bookings. She was a dream to work with. She was so quick to communicate and answer our million questions. She made the entire process fun and truly made our dream vision come to reality. We had a brunch wedding with live stations and people are still talking about the food almost a month later. We heard raves such as “This is the best wedding food I’ve ever had” and “Wow! I can’t over how amazing your food was!” Katie made every detail to and through the day her mission and worked to remove all stress from us. We’d made our day truly special. Her entire staff wasn’t wonderful and the food was great. The best part is they’re very fairly priced. I cannot recommend Saz’s enough.
Amazing food. I was pleasantly surprised by Saz’s. I am not a big meat eater and I originally thought BBQ when I heard the name Saz’s. I was totally wrong. The food taste was above and beyond what I thought. My fiance and I cannot wait to share with our guests the flavors we both so much enjoy.
“[South Second] has to be the best venue in Milwaukee. Its got that really hip modern-industrial vibe. It’s in Milwaukee’s most interesting neighborhood (Walkers Point). My wedding was in June of 2018. Every single person at this wedding raved about the venue. I would really recommend this venue to couples that have no desire to have a church wedding. Let’s face it lots of people want the ceremony and reception under one roof. It can be a hassle to have your guests wasting a few hours between venues. This is the place for that. Its all under one roof. The staff can change over all the table almost faster than a Nascar pit crew. Saz’s catered this event and I would give up a months pay just to go back and eat more of that food. I cannot suggest this place enough.”
Saz’s was amazing throughout the entire process. [They were] extremely responsive to us and made everything easy from start to finish. The biggest thing I wanted to add other than the food being AMAZING, was that the staff was awesome the night of the wedding. They always made sure the bride and groom got appetizers and were fed. They went above and beyond to make sure family and friends were happy with what they got. Their overall hospitality and kindness were never unnoticed. Guests of the wedding only had great things to say about the food and staff. If I did it all over again, we would still pick Saz’s.
Saz’s just catered my wedding and it was excellent. The food tasted JUST like the tasting – delicious. I went off menu and did not order your typical “wedding” food. We did a southern theme and selected from their summer BBQ menu and the winter menu and it was awesome. The St. Louis ribs and the BBQ seasoned chicken pieces were juicy and fall of the bone yummy! I had more guest comment on how good the 4 cheese Mac and Cheese was…so that in my book is a winner too! We did the ranch beans with andouille sausage, the brussels with extra bacon, and the roasted fingerling potatoes with a cheese sauce that was well, divine! I would 110% recommend ANY OF THESE items to any bride that wants a southern flair kind of meal!!!
We are getting great reviews from our guests. Great food and service!! From the apps to start us off to the desserts at the end, a great time and great food for all. And the table settings looked great too. Everyone on the Saz’s team was easy to work with and helpful.
Locals know Saz’s and were thrilled, but it was the out-of-towners that really went crazy over Saz’s beef brisket and chicken provencal!
