Saz’s Hospitality Group is proud to participate in the Susan G. Komen’s BigWig Campaign to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer care and research. Hannah Kitzerow, Festival & Community Engagement Coordinator, will be donning the hot pink wig around Milwaukee with a goal of raising a whopping $7,500. We’re here for the challenge, and if we surpass the goal, maybe Hannah will make the pink hair permanent? Serving looks and top-notch hospitality happens to be some of Hannah’s greatest talents.
This isn’t our first rodeo with a fun updo and a cause worth fighting for. In 2017, Steve “Saz” Sazama joined in on the initiative, followed by Curt Kluth in 2019. The BigWigs campaign began in 2014 to gather corporate and community leaders together to raise awareness and funds to positively impact those directly affected by breast cancer. Seventy-five percent of funds contributed to the campaign benefit local women and men by providing financial assistance for breast screenings, diagnostic tests, and treatments. The remaining funds are allocated to cutting-edge research in hopes of finding a cure.
THROW ONE BACK & HAVE SOME FUN!
As a special treat, Saz’s State House will be serving the BigWig Mule for $8, where the proceeds will go towards Hannah’s fundraising goal. The concoction will include Absolut Grapefruit Vodka, honey syrup, lemon juice, cranberry juice, and topped with ginger beer. Come on- a tasty, citrusy mule that raises money for cancer research and resources? If that’s wrong, we don’t want to be right.
All jokes aside, we all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. Hannah and the team at Saz’s Hospitality Group are ecstatic to be part of the 2021 BigWig campaign and help make a difference in our local community. Want to join in on the fun?
HOW YOU CAN HELP:

– Purchase the BigWig Mule at Saz’s State House for $8, with proceeds directly benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
