We asked Katie Hoffman, Event Planner, to plan her dream holiday party at Jan Serr Studio. See her vision come to life before your eyes and celebrate the Holidays in the City!
There’s a crisp chill in the air as you make your way through the doors and press the button to go up to the sixth floor. As they open, a soft glow illuminates from Jan Serr Studio, and as you walk in, you look up to the ceiling to see thousands of twinkling lights. The sun is setting through the majestic windows, and you can’t help but feel the magic in the air. Your eyes rest on the colossal Christmas Tree in the corner of the room, dazzling lights on every available branch. It’s no Time Square, but it’s a pretty close second.
The bar’s sleek design draws you near and you order a Pomegranate Martini, and passed appetizers begin to make their way around the rooms. One sticks out to you the most- a Baked Cranberry Brie that melts in your mouth and has you grabbing for at least one more.
As you begin to see familiar faces around the room, you greet them and compare notes on your favorite hors d’oeuvres and cheers with the complimentary Champagne Cocktails. Food stations are set up with carved meats, and sautéed veggies- every table you visit is a unique experience. And of course, you can’t pass by the full Charcuterie table, elegantly designed to be picked apart. You find yourself around a high-top table chatting and diving into your assorted small plates when you see out of the corner of your eye desserts served in martini glasses being displayed on a table across from you. You know that while you’re enjoying these savory bites, those martini glasses will top off the night to satisfy your sweet tooth. Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, and even Mariah Carey echo throughout the space as your favorite holiday tunes fill the air. Dancing ensues close to the Christmas tree, and you can’t help but think to yourself, “this is a wonderful life.”
