The breathtaking production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The King & I is coming to the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts April 9th-14th and we’re welcoming this stunning musical to town with Dinner and a Show April 11th, 2019!
Dinner and a Show is a special evening that includes a chef-inspired four-course dinner at Saz’s State House, orchestra seating for the show and convenient shuttle service to and from the Marcus Center.
Set in 1860’s Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and turbulent relationship that forms between the King of Siam and a British schoolteacher, who is brought to Siam to teach his many wives and children.
This new production of the King & I, based on the 2015 Tony Award®-winning Lincoln Center Theater production, features set and costume design by Michael Yeargan and Catherine Zube, sound by Scott Lehrer and choreography by Christopher Gattelli.
It’s a production that Variety calls, “absolutely stunning” and Newsday proclaims is, “Magnificent. A sweepingly romantic production.”
