A traditional Oktoberfest celebration generally includes three things: music, food and beer. The MKE Oktoberfest, happening September 29th through October 2nd, 2017, brings together the best in all three categories. Set over four days, people will gather at the Marcus Center grounds and Pere Marquette Park in Downtown Milwaukee to celebrate Germany’s biggest seasonal holiday. An event that originated in Munich is now observed worldwide, by Germans and non-Germans alike.
People will flock to downtown for all the sights and sounds of Bavaria, and the sounds will not disappoint. You’ll hear it all, from the traditional to the contemporary. Just know, there will be no shortage of lederhosen, dirndls or accordions. See the full list of performers here.
Sazama’s Fine Catering is proud to be a sponsor of this big Bayern-inspired bash that includes the perfect menu for the occasion, with all the festival-favorites you can ask for.
Saz’s MKE Oktoberfest Menu:
- Saz’s Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich
- Saz’s Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwich
- Grilled Jumbo Brat on Pretzel Roll with Kraut
- All Beef Jumbo Hot Dog
- Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich with Lemon Caper Aioli
- Mozzarella Marinara
- Sour Cream & Chive Fries
All this tasty fare will be served at Sazama’s River’s Edge Patio at the Marcus Center grounds all weekend long.
We know a proper Oktoberfest celebration wouldn’t be one at all without barrels of German beer ready to be tapped and emptied. Expect to find plenty of the good stuff served german-style; in liters, of course! At Pere Marquette you’ll find Hofbrau Hetzelt serving up Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier within an authentic Munich Oktoberfest Tent. On the Marcus Center grounds, you’ll find a variety of German brews being served up in liters that are available for purchase and give you discounted refills. Already have your own liter? Bring it along! Beers available at the Marcus Center grounds include: Hacker-Pschorr Original Oktoberfest, Hacker-Pschorr Weisse and Paulaner Oktoberfest.
Let’s prost to a great summer and to a fantastic fall ahead!
