Meet our 2018 Sporkies Finalist, the Saz’s Breakfast Bombs! This sweet sensation was selected from over 30 entries from Wisconsin State Fair vendors! eight finalists have been chosen to compete in this incredibly popular annual food competition when the Fair rolls around August 2-12, 2018.
But wait; surely you must be wondering what’s in these bacon wrapped orbs of intrigue. What you see are two sweet cream cheese filled French toast bagel bombs surrounded by triple thick brown sugar and spice smoked bacon, served up with a side of house-made rum raisin cream cheese frosting for dipping. Can’t you almost taste it?
It’s the perfect mix of sweet meets savory and you can find them all Fair long at Saz’s Taste of Wisconsin location at Wisconsin State Fair Park!
The sixth annual Sporkies competition takes place Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11am at the Associated Bank Amphitheatre and features a fun panel of local celebrity Judges, including Former Green Bay Packers player and inventor of the Lambeau Leap, Leroy Butler, and the host of PBS’ Around the Corner, John McGivern.
A winner and ultimate fair food champion will be chosen based on originality, taste and State Fair appeal, of course!
We think these morsels of perfection definitely have what it takes to bring home that coveted Golden Spork and we can’t wait for the judges to raise their cream cheese frosting-covered thumbs in agreement!
