Bio: Mario has been in the kitchen since he was 17. He started as a dishwasher in the kitchen where his brother was a sous chef, and quickly worked his way up through the kitchen. He spent 10 years working for the Hyatt in Mexico as the Executive Chef, where he was then sent to 6 different countries to help open up kitchens in Hyatt hotels. Among the countries he worked in were Barcelona, Singapore, and Argentina. While working as a chef for Hyatt in Mexico, he competed in a national cooking competition among all of the executive chefs in hotels in Mexico, where he took 2nd place.
