This past weekend my family and I were guests of Maserati at Road America. I cannot compliment your staff enough for the great job they did this weekend. Zach, Diane, Jim and the entire staff did exceptional. You should be very proud of the job they did. Everyone was so accommodating as we had three children with us. One highlight for us is as we walked in Diane approached my wide and offered to get an espresso for her. Another highlight was when Zach overheard my wife ask for one of the ice cream bars from the day before. The station didn’t have one but Zach found one and brought it over to our table, what a surprise! We’ve attended many events at Road America and your staff always does a great job! Keep up the great work!
There are a lot of great places to get food on the grounds but the combo to me it’s a just a classic Milwaukee dish and a part of the quintessential Summerfest experience. Every year there is an article about the new food items at Summerfest. Usually the new items are gimmicks like “let’s see what we can put on a stick or how can we incorporate more bacon.” Those items are usually are gone the next year in favor of whatever the new food trend is. You know the combo will be here every single year and will taste exactly the same as the year before.
I was born and raised in Milwaukee. I am now 34 years old and, since I was 14, I have been going to Summerfest. The first thing I do when I go is get the combo platter. That is when my summer officially begins!! The combo platter and Summerfest go hand in hand for me. And Lakefront IPA of course.
For me the Saz’s combo platter is almost like an institution. In a way I sort of just equate it with being outside in summer in Milwaukee. I’ve been eating them at festivals since I was a kid and to this day Saz’s is still always my first stop at soon as I walk through the Summerfest gates.
