I organized a corporate banquet dinner at South Second and could not have been happier with the event. [Saz’s] was excellent to work with–from the menu and the layout to a few last minute day-of requests, [they] helped us with everything we needed to make the event run as smoothly as possible. The venue itself was beautiful as well, everyone raved about the space and we hope that we get to use it again for future events. Highly recommended, cannot say enough good things!

I cannot say enough good things about South Second. We had our wedding there this December and it was a dream. First off, their [events specialist] is the absolute best. We booked the site before construction had even started. I knew it was going to be the best choice for us just by talking to [Them]. [They were] so responsive and helpful. I finally got to see the venue and meet the staff a few months later and I was so happy to see it looked exactly as they planned. Not only will you get an industrial and modern venue to make your own, but you will get to use Saz’s catering which was above and beyond our expectations. The food on the wedding day tasted exactly like the tasting did months prior. We did family style dining and our guests really enjoyed it. I highly recommend South Second for a wedding venue.

We worked with the Saz’s team to create a menu for our reception that would leave people saying “man that was delicious” instead of “oh, did you have the chicken or beef?”. The Saz’s team NAILED IT. Their communication is swift and detailed and the entire process from initial inquiry email to packing up and leaving during the reception was perfect. The team the night of the wedding was fun, professional, and warm. They all made sure the bride and groom ate- they prepared a plate of appetizers and hid it behind the bar for us and also escorted us through the buffet first. And they did a great job of making sure everyone else was being fed in a timely and efficient manner. Just a delightful experience, I can’t recommend them enough. There wasn’t a single thing we needed to worry about when it came to our food that night.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about our experience with Saz’s from the planning stages all the way up to our wedding! [Saz’s] was a dream to work with! [They] always emailed me back promptly answering any and all questions I had and sat down with us to figure out our options for dinner and even helped us figure out the timeline for our evening, which was a huge help as a first time bride! The food at our wedding was amazing and our guests were still raving about it the next day. I was so so impressed with the quality of service by the waitstaff; everyone was extremely polite and attentive; the on site manager during our wedding even offered to carry my plate for me! Both my husband’s and my own parents commented on how impressed they were with the entire staff as well, especially the ones who stayed towards the end and helped clean up. I definitely recommend Saz’s to anyone who needs a great caterer for their event!

Thank you so much for everything! I found out about how Saz’s provided my cousin (who apparently has 10 million allergies) dinner on the night of the wedding despite me not being aware of these allergens and in turn you guys not knowing. You seriously went way above and beyond! And I cannot tell you how many guests complimented us on the food and the venue. Please send my compliments to Saz’s Catering team. Tom and I didn’t have high expectations for the food because we have been guests to so many weddings in the last few years and most of the time the food is just ok. We are so happy that our food tasted just as good as on the day of the tasting. Working with you was honestly so great and I cannot thank you enough!!

This is not your typical wedding food… it’s not even your typical restaurant food. This was some of the best food that our guests had ever had! Starting with the tastings, we left stuffed and loved each dish more than the next. They even custom created a clam chowder for our soup course to honor my Connecticut roots! The day of the wedding, not a single person went hungry. There was more food than we knew what to do with! We were a bit hesitant about a buffet since they are a hit or miss at weddings. We were assured that we would not be disappointed, and disappointment was the furthest thing from our minds! Everything was cooked perfectly, was hot, and each table was able to eat at the same time. The buffet moved quickly and efficiently and there was plenty of food for everyone to get there fill on every item, with even some people going back for seconds! Saz’s also provided top notch service. Even though we chose buffet, they had personal wait staff to hand serve a few tables that seated the elderly guests! People to this day cannot stop talking about how amazing the food was and how there was something for everyone! One of the best decisions we made was choosing Saz’s for our wedding.

We catered our Thanksgiving dinner from Saz’s this year. We had moved into a small apartment and I wasn’t sure about the logistics of coordinating the dinner in a limited space. I expected it to be good, but the dinner was amazing! I love to cook and my standards are high. We picked up the meal at noon and it was still hot when we sat down at 1:30 pm. The turkey was moist and delicious with a good assortment of white and dark meat. The mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy were every bit as tasty as I would have made myself. The green beans were crunchy with a generous amount of toasted almonds. I always make my own cranberry orange relish and theirs was as good as mine. I would not have bothered with the sweet potatoes, but their recipe with maple syrup was a big hit. The salad of mixed greens with Apple, craisins, almonds, feta cheese and cranberry vinaigrette complimented the meal. We added Saz’s scrumptious corn muffins along with the rolls and they were a favorite. Dinner catered from Saz’s will become a new thanksgiving tradition. I was able to really enjoy my family and my meal with a minimum of prep or clean-up. Thank you Saz’s!
